HONG KONG -- An earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale jolted Taiwan at 02:03:20 GMT on Wednesday (10: 03:20 Hong Kong Time), the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 20.70 km, was initially determined to be at 23.8396 degrees north latitude and 121.1346 degrees east longitude.
